Created for Alta Ski Area.
For most ski resort patrons at Alta Ski Area, the day begins when the first chair loads at 9:15 a.m. and ends around 4:30 p.m. with après and a recap of the amazing day you and your friends just had. But a day full of face shots or ripping groomers on The Greatest Snow on Earth wouldn’t be possible without the hard work put in by hundreds of resort employees long before (and after) the lifts are spinning.
From the grooming staff driving snowcats through the night to the ski patrollers doing safety checks at dawn, it takes a village (fueled by delicious bacon) to get Alta, and every other Utah resort, up and running smoothly every day.
With current year-to-date snowfall totals at 272 inches, Alta employees have worked extra hard this season. The next time you see a resort employee, make sure you say “thank you.” High fives are highly encouraged. Alta will be spinning their lifts until April 29 this season (their longest yet!) so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to thank someone who makes sliding on snow at this quintessential resort possible.
